Judge revokes bail in Derry, N.H. murder case

BRENTWOOD, N.H. -- A judge today revoked bail in the case of Jesse Brooks, the Londonderry High School graduate charged with conspiracy to commit murder in connection with the 2005 killing of a Derry man.

Brooks, 31, of New Castle, has remained free since his arrest in February of 2007 on charges he conspired with his father, John "Jay" Brooks, and others to kill Jack Reid, 57, of Derry.

Prosecutors argued that Brooks should be jailed because he tested positive for heroin and cocaine in December, just a week after his lawyers beat an earlier effort to have his bail revoked.
