A New Hampshire woman wanted for allegedly killing a 24-year-old man and burning his body was arrested yesterday in Revere. Acting on a tip from the public, Sheila LaBarre, 47, of Epping, N.H., was arrested at the Northgate Shopping Center without incident, Revere Police Lt. Michael McLaughlin said. She was charged with being a fugitive from justice and possession of marijuana.
Found body believed to be missing kayaker
Searchers believe a body found Saturday on the North Branch River in Antrim, N.H., is that of a 66-year-old kayaker missing since the 2005 floods that devastated southwestern New Hampshire. Thomas Mangieri of Antrim was last seen Oct. 9, clinging to a branch in the rain-swollen river. Seven people were killed by the floods; Mangieri's remained the sole unrecovered body. Though an autopsy is needed to confirm the identity, New Hampshire Fish and Game officials believe the body is Mangieri's because of the location and other clues.
