May 07, 2008 05:05 am PLAISTOW — Timberlane Regional School District has hired two new administrators and is close to recommending two more, according to the superintendent. Superintendent Richard La Salle announced Monday that a new director of elementary education and a new athletic director have been appointed. He said he will make a recommendation for a new assistant principal and evening division director for the high school to be appointed by the School Board tomorrow night at 7:30. That candidate will replace Dwight Wilder, who is resigning at the end of the school year, he said. La Salle said the search committee recommended two people for the Atkinson Academy principal job — one in-house and one outside candidate — but would not say who they are. There will be additional investigation of both candidates and possibly site visits within a week, he said. The School Board will likely appoint someone at its June 5 meeting. Kelli Killen of Epping will take over for Peg Ralph as the director of elementary education. Ralph is retiring after 30 years of service to the district. Killen has a master's degree in educational leadership from the University of Southern Maine and is certified in New Hampshire as an elementary educator, principal and curriculum administrator. She will supervise all aspects of education in the district's five elementary-level schools, as well as head up curriculum and professional development. Angelo Fantasia of Salem will be the district's new athletic director, replacing 23-year veteran Dennis "Bucky" Tardif. Fantasia has 21 years of experience in the education field, including five years as athletic director in the Nashua School District. Fantasia will coordinate athletic activities in the district's seven schools. La Salle said he was chosen for his education, professional background and high standards for athletics. Both new administrators will begin their posts on July 1.
