SALEM — Police charged 35 people in connection with two underage drinking parties held over the holiday weekend.
On Friday, police went to 30 Hawk Drive at 10:53 p.m., finding a party attended by 70 to 80 people. Some partygoers fled into nearby woods when officers arrived. Several people who had not been drinking were released to their parents, police said.
Matthew Judd, 20, of Derry, was charged with disobeying a police officer.

Aprille Shea, 17, of Londonderry; Justin Massie, 17, of Hampstead; Zack D'Amico, 20, of Hampstead; Craig St. Amand, 17, of Hampstead; Austin Foskitt, 16, of Chester; Thomas Giancola, 17, of East Hampstead; Natsha O'Donnell, 17, of Derry; Sean Doolley, 19, of Hampstead; Keri-Anne Bowser, 17, of Derry; Kyla Lupien, 17, of Derry
Police said 20 vehicles were towed. They expect to charge the party's host, who allegedly fled into the woods.
On Sunday at 11:15 p.m., Salem broke up another party at 40 Wheeler Ave.
Zachary Jordan, 18, of Salem was charged with unlawful possession of alcohol and facilitating an underage drinking party.
