WINDHAM — The condition of a man injured Saturday in a crash on Interstate 93 improved yesterday.
Cody Roy, 22, of Jaffrey was upgraded from critical to fair condition, a Boston Medical Center spokeswoman said last night.
Roy, a passenger in a 2000 Hyundai Sonata, suffered a serious head injury when the car went off the road and rolled up and over an embankment on I-93 south about 10 a.m.
He was first taken to Parkland Medical Center in Derry and later flown by medical helicopter to Boston Medical Center.
The driver, Britini Wozniak, 19, of Greenville was ejected from the vehicle. She was taken to Elliot Hospital in Manchester where she was in good condition.
The Hyundai was traveling in an erratic manner and at a high rate of speed, state police said.
Neither Roy nor Wozniak wore seat belts, police said.
No charges were filed, and the crash is being investigated by Trooper Jeffrey Tenczar.
