SANDOWN — Richard and Norma Drowne's proposed 142-unit, 55-plus subdivision between Snow Lane and Odell Road will now move on to the Planning Board.
The proposed plan includes six wetland impacts that concerned the Conservation Commission. The developers presented changes to the commission Thursday in an effort to satisfy those concerns.
The Conservation Commission discussed the points they would put in their letter to the Planning Board. The commission will include its recommendations to planners when they take up the Drownes' application for a conditional use permit.
The Drownes did not want the Conservation Commission to include the possibility of their giving a conservation easement on 103 acres of the parcel in its letter. Richard Drowne said it was getting ahead of themselves to be discussing this and that they probably wouldn't be required to give all 103 acres for a conservation easement.
But Chairman Paul Carey said it would be included in the letter, along with the other comments on the negotiated changes surrounding the six wetland impact areas in the parcel of 226 acres.
The Drownes have applied for a dredge-and-fill permit with the state Department of Environmental Services. The Conservation Commission can comment on the application and the proposed subdivision plan to the DES.
