I-93 incident leads to four charges

By Margo Sullivan
Staff writer

LONDONDERRY — Derek Daprato, 20, of Cambridge, Mass., has been indicted by a Rockingham County grand jury on one drug and three weapons charges.

He is accused of carrying a loaded handgun without a license, changing marks on a firearm, and being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon.

All the charges stem from a June 12 incident on Interstate 93, when Daprato was accused of pointing a Smith & Wesson revolver at another motorist in rush-hour traffic.

Daprato also was indicted on a felony drug charge — possession of a narcotic with intent to sell.
