PELHAM — Police are still searching for a man who led Dracut, Mass., and Pelham police on a two-town chase Thursday.

"We still don't have a positive ID" on the driver of the Dodge pickup truck who refused to stop for Dracut and Pelham police, Lt. Gary Fisher said.

Anyone with information about the driver is asked to contact Pelham police at 635-2411.

With help from a Salem canine unit, police searched unsuccessfully for the man after he fled on foot off Hancock Lane.

The man was driving erratically and speeding when he was spotted by police in Dracut shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday.

Dracut police chased his black pickup to the state line where Pelham police joined the pursuit on Mammoth Road. Police deployed "stop sticks" on Mammoth Road, which caused a rear tire to blow out. He stopped his truck and fled on foot shortly after that.
