No taxes
I'm calling from the Town of Groveland regarding the "Coming Home Project" that's being done by Saint James Church to voice the concern of a town member with regard to a church property potentially not paying taxes, and yet sending their children to our schools. So the residents of Groveland are now expected to not only have this kind of property coming into our town, but also to subsidize all of the children who would be living in that property without getting any taxes toward our schools whatsoever.
Change everything
If you really want change, then you have to change everything. Changing the president isn't going to make a difference, because he's ruled by the Senate and the House. Change your senators, change your congressmen. Don't let them think this is a job they have for the rest of their lives with all of their benefits. If you want change, then you'll have to change it all over. Give somebody else a chance, instead of letting these people sit on their fat behinds for the rest of their lives, collecting the taxpayers' money and doing what they want to do and not what the taxpayer wants them to do.
Propaganda
I saw this video of the children in Hollywood singing about Obama. It was very disturbing. I saw the same thing in a film for Nazi propaganda. Our children are being brainwashed. Wake up, America!
Take in signs
To the woman whose Obama signs are being stolen in Salem: Take them in at night. I have to do that with my McCain sign. It works both ways, I guess.
Credit crisis
The person or persons who came up with the advertising slogan, "Bad credit, no credit, no problem," should be identified and deprived of credit for the rest of their lives.
Chief executives
Only in America can CEOs of large businesses or institutions reap multimillion dollar benefits by causing their businesses to go belly up because of irresponsibility and poor management. Why don't we pass laws to force them to return a sizable portion of their millions to government causes. In this way, we could lessen the burden of the American public. But of course, this is not the American way, which is to make the victim pay the perpetrator.
Not dangerous
This is for the person who called about fishers in North Andover: You should learn a little about fishers before you make outrageous statements like that. They're not dangerous to people, they're not dangerous to children. They're dangerous to the cats you leave outside all night, as are the coyotes that also roam around your neighborhood. But they're not dangerous to kids. It's all for the children, anything for the children. Learn about the wildlife you have to live with or you can get a high-powered rifle and sit up on your roof all night and wait for the coyote to come by.
Fishers
This is in response to the call about fishers in the Sound Off section: I just find it odd that this person wants the police or the animal control officer to come down and shoot an animal or dispose of an animal that hasn't done anything. Do these people not know that they live in the woods and animals live there, too? If there's a problem, what do you expect them to do? You can't just go around killing animals that haven't done anything.
