Just leave

This is in response to "Bad freedom:" By the sound of your gripe, you lost your freedom to discriminate against blacks, Hispanics, and women, and you lost your freedom to beat up a homosexual. If you don't like the United States with its improvement over the years, then leave the country. We don't need people like you.

Limbaugh

I can't thank Rush Limbaugh enough for making me feel safe going to bed at night. Knowing he has the situation well in hand in all departments. It is like watching a Walt Disney cartoon.

Stay home

I have an idea for Halloween. If you live in Lawrence, then trick-or-treat in Lawrence. If you live in Methuen, then trick-or-treat in Methuen. If you live in North Andover, then trick-or-treat in North Andover. If you live in Andover, then trick-or-treat in Andover. It would be wonderful if we could all get together and have trick-or-treating on the same day, not separate days.

Helping the rich

To the "Party of No:" If it wasn't for the Party of Yes, then you would not have Social Security, Medicare, veterans aid, help for the mentally ill, aid to children, food programs for children, etc. The Party of No only helps the rich. They are a shame.

Test firefighters

I'm calling in regards to elderly drivers and all the accidents that have happened lately. The media and everyone says they should be tested, but I think the firefighters and the police should be tested annually. I know some firefighters who are extremely overweight. I wouldn't want them trying to come into the building on the third floor and saving me. If he falls down, then who's going to save him?

Great team

Forget about the Red Sox, the Bruins, the Celtics, and the Patriots. We have a great team right here in Haverhill. Check out the Whittier Wildcats. Great opportunity to see good football.

Yard sale

I live in Haverhill. The Hilldale Cemetery had a yard sale on Saturday. I drove down Hilldale Avenue on Sunday and the people who participated in the yard sale left all of their stuff outside. It's a disgrace. The next time they have a yard sale or flea market I hope they take stuff back home with them and not leave it on the sidewalk in front of the cemetery. It looks terrible.

Taking care of us

I'm calling from the City of Methuen. I just wanted to congratulate Joyce Campagnone for being elected Councilor at large. I'm looking forward to Campagnone coming back into the political scene in Methuen. When she was involved before, a lot of things got done that others couldn't get done. I'm just looking forward to her doing what she does best — taking care of us in the City of Methuen.

Corruption

All of the voting corruption that has taken place in Iraq and Afghanistan was learned in Lawrence.

Negligent

I recently took a family member to vote. I was handed a ballot without even giving my name and address. I had already voted. I found the staff very negligent. I hope this is not an indication of what is to come.

Losing freedom?

There were two more Sound Offs that said we were losing our freedom. They have already contradicted themselves because if they were in another country they would be incarcerated for what they said. One sounded very young to know what is going on and the other sadly sounded full of hate. What a shame.

Trash day

I was very proud of my neighborhood today as I drove from Boston Street down Ferry Street to Commonwealth Drive. There were all the new trash containers lined up nice and neat with no spilled or thrown around trash. The only missing item were recycle bins. Perhaps education should start with them.
