Softball

The Methuen JVs downed Lawrence 10-1. Jamie Newell, Marissa Prezzano and Catelyn Haneffant each scored two runs for the Rangers.

St. Theresa's League: The Wildfire downed the Cyclones 11-5. Eleana DiZoglio led the offense while Daischa Ng shined on defense. Sue Finno had two hits for the Cyclones.

Baseball

The Haverhill freshmen defeated Lawrence 8-7. Andres Vargas and Manny Vargas combined for the win, and Riley Ruth was 2 for 2 for the Hillies.

Methuen East Little League: The Dodgers downed the Red Sox 8-2. Sean Archambault had two hits and two RBIs while Sean McDonough delievered a hit and two stolen bases for the Dodgers. Danny Doherty stood out on defense for the Red Sox.

Basketball

Andover-North Andover YMCA summer league registration for boys and girls entering grades 3-12 is May 14 and May 21 from 7-8 p.m. For more information contact Amy Quinlan at 978-786-3541. Coaches are also needed.

Summer Camps

M&M Sportz Camps will be holding camps for ages 5-7 this summer, four-day softball camps starting June 30 at Northern Essex in Haverhill and July 8 in North Andover, one-day softball clinics June 27 at Northern Essex and July 7, 14, 21 and 28 and Aug. 4, 11, 18 and 25 at Neil Playstead in Methuen, and a basketball camp for ages 8-14 at St. Joseph's School in Haverhill the week of July 21.

The Lowell Devils AHL hockey team will host a camp for Mite and Squire level players Aug. 4-8 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Micro Ice Training Center in North Andover. The regional Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit and Run competition will be hosted by the New England Riptide on May 10 at noon at Martin Field in Lowell. The divisions are 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14. The sectionals will be May 24 in Lowell and those winners will compete at Fenway Park.
