Perrault K's 12 to propel Salem

Pitcher Eric Perrault was on fire, striking out 12 to lead Salem to an 8-2 win over Spaulding. The senior pitcher allowed two hits, one run (unearned) and walked only two batters. Left fielder Matt Hardy went 2 for 3 with three RBIs and Peter Allain had an RBI double.

Timberlane fell to Exeter, 5-3. Nick Mascioli and Jeff Disalvo each had two hits for the Owls (6-8).

Kyle Neverman had three hits and three RBIs to lead Londonderry to an 11-1 win over Dover. Scott Worth and Brian Finnegan each had a pair of hits for the Lancers (8-5).

Alex Gallant returned to the mound for the first time this year and struck out 10 in a 6-0 Salem win. The Merrimack College-bound senior allowed three hits and did not walk a batter. The Blue Devils (11-3) scored five times in the third by stringing together four two-out RBI hits by Danielle Stoodley, Jen Cabral, Julia Gray and freshman Jade Morrison, who also hit a home run.

Sanborn beat Hopkinton 4-3. Pitcher Stacy Blades picked up the win and drove in a run and Danika Smith drove in a pair of runs.

North Andover edged Triton, 6-5. Sophomore Candace Waldie slugged a two-run homer and Danielle Fournier stroked a two-run single. Alison McCarthy also drove in a run with a suicide squeeze.

Dover defeated Londonderry 3-0. The Lancers managed only four hits. Sara Seaborne and Elizabeth McNamara had a hit each.

Timberlane rolled past Exeter, 6-1. Annie Hansbury ripped a homer to left field and Katie Stedman slugged a triple. Pitcher Stephanie Barrett pitched well, allowing four hits and striking out 10.

For the first time in program history, Londonderry defeated Pinkerton. The Lancers prevailed 8-6, handing the Astros their first loss of the season.

'The girls really worked for this one," said Londonderry coach Bob Slater. "Defensively our kids were outstanding. And to have five different goal scorers in a game like this says something for this program."

Kayla Green, Dana Boyle and Jenn Borjeson each scored twice for Londonderry while Nicole Curry and Kacie Connal each scored three goals for Pinkerton.

Kelsey Richards' three goals weren't enough to power Central Catholic in a 12-8 loss to Bishop Fenwick. Adelle Dagher and Meredith Bilodeau each added a pair of goals for the Raiders.

Caroline Barclay, Katie Kleinendorst and Jennifer Pino each scored twice to help North Andover hang on for an 8-6 win over Pentucket. Stephanie Taylor made eight saves.

North Reading fell to Manchester Essex 17-7. Marie Pescatore scored four times for the Hornets.

Sara Halbich scored five times and Kyleigh Keating added four more but it went for naught as Salem was edged by Exeter, 11-10. Nicole Rozumek scored the other Salem goal.

Ryan Lewis scored four goals to lead Timberlane in an 8-7 loss to Dover. Chris Hinton added a goal and an assist and Ryan Rothwell chipped in two assists.

Brandon Wade scored three times but Georgetown fell to Lynnfield 11-4. Nick Sheffield scored the other goal for the Royals.

Londonderry defeated Manchester Memorial, 5-1, in a rain-shortened match. Evan Walsh, Chris Bowen and Phil Biondo each won 8-0.

Kelli Murphy earned a shutout win at No. 1 singles then teamed with Ali McKinney for a sweep at No. 1 doubles as Londonderry swept Manchester Memorial. Jen Kutt, Katie Bever and Cassie Kelly also swept their respective singles matches.

The Andover-North Andover YMCA Synchers turned in quite an effort at the New Englands in Ipswich, where they earned 18 gold medals, 8 silvers and 5 bronzes.

The 18-19 team, which includes Maggie Conlon and Meaghan Arsenault of Methuen, and Jessica Mancini, Kelly Mahoney and Erica Potts of Andover, brought home the gold.

The 16-17 squad also brought home top honors. That team included Amber Blum, Rebecca Ely, Laina Gray, Caitlyn McGregor and Alison Ziel of North Andover along with Sheila Cremin, Candace Ju and Emily Stone of Andover.

The 13-15 team also captured the gold. Marian Crockett and Christine Wu of Andover, Alyson Arsenault of Methuen and Alice Rodgers and Sarah Higgins of North Andover competed for the Synchers.
