Salem, N.H. tryouts for Senior Legion, Junior Legion and Senior Babe Ruth are scheduled for Saturday, May 17, at 2 p.m. at the Woodbury School and Sunday, May 18, at 9 a.m. at Salem High School. Players ages 14-18 living in Salem or Windham are invited to try out.
Methuen East Little League: In the boys majors, the Dodgers beat the Yankees 4-1. Matt Saraceno hit two home runs with four RBIs for the Dodgers, Julian Sanchez was the winning pitcher and Ryan Bradley earned the save. Nick Bradley played well for the Yankees.
Softball
The North Andover JV softball team defeated Triton, 8-5. Lauren Fiske picked up the win while Robyn Fournier and Grace McDaniel each played well defensively.
Basketball
Andover-North Andover YMCA summer league registration for boys and girls entering grades 3-12 is May 14 and May 21 from 7-8 p.m. For more information, contact Amy Quinlan at 978-786-3541. Coaches are also needed.
