Loucks Games in White Plains, N.Y., over the weekend. The Owls finished 10th out of 61 teams. Samantha Wheeler added a third in the high jump (5-2), Sarah Trahan was sixth in the shot put (36-51/2) and Katherine Grzejka was sixth in the long jump (16-91/4) for the Owls. Boys Track Lyle grabs fifth Timberlane's Cam Lyle was fifth in the shot put with a 48-7 at the Loucks Games in New York. Cole Dresser added a seventh in the 200 (23.39).
Baseball Bourk's efforts for naught Jim Bourk allowed only one run over five innings and was 1 for 2 with an RBI, but Pelham fell to Coe-Brown 5-3. Jamie Vaiknoras added a hit and an RBI and Steve Rogers, Joe Morin and David Wesson each scored a run for the Pythons. Colleges Salem's Liekweg leads UMass Lowell to sixth Salem's Bob Liekweg was second in the 400 hurdles (53.24) and ran on the 4x100 team that was fifth overall as the UMass Lowell men placed sixth at the New England Track and Field Championship. Methuen's Cory Murray added an eighth in the shot put (50-21/2). Haley Catarius placed fifth in the 800 and ran on the 4x800 relay team that placed fifth in a school-record time of 9:24.82 to help UMass Lowell place eighth. Freshman Shanika Pitts was fourth in the 100 for the River Hawks. ... Northern Essex Community College's Shane Lee placed fourth in the 100 meters in tough weather conditions at Division 3 National Junior College Championships in 11.19. He was also 11th in the 200 in 22.72. Taylor Pagley added an 11th in the shot put (34-11) and discus and Sara Giannasca was 10th in the 100 (13.67) on the women's side.
