Boys Lacrosse
Sophomore Alex Blane cut in front of the goal, took a feed from Steve Collura and fired home the game-winner in double overtime to lead North Andover past Masconomet, 6-5.
"It was a great game," said coach Steve Connolly, whose team clinched a share of the Cape Ann League title with the win. "The whole team stepped up."
Blane finished with two goals and an assist. Collura had two assists and Jon Blackwell had a pair of goals. Ross Marchegiani played excellent on defense.

Andover beat Lowell 8-4. Nick Reeder made 12 saves to secure the win, and Matt Raynor led a tenacious defense that held Lowell scoreless in the second half.

Andover rolled past Lowell, 4-0. John Farrell was excellent, scattering five hits over seven strong innings and striking out seven batters. Mike Taylor drove in a pair of runs for the Golden Warriors.

Tatis a bright spot for Reggies
Greater Lawrence's rally was a run short in a 6-5 loss to Greater Lowell. The Reggies scored a run in the fifth and four in the sixth, but were unable to overcome a six-run deficit. Charina Tatis drove in two runs with a double.
Boys Track
Sexton sets hurdles mark
Lynnfield defeated North Reading 73-72. Matt Sexton won the hurdles in a school-record time of 15.1. Dan O'Brien set the mark with a 15.4 in 1998. John Mitton won the mile for the Hornets (4:43.3).
Girls Track
Pronovost shines for Knights
Masconomet won the last event of the meet to defeat North Andover 75-70. Alison Pronovost was the star for the Scarlet Knights, winning the 100 and 200 meters. Kathie Andrusin won the pole vault with a jump of 9-6.

North Reading saw two school records fall in a 99-46 win over Lynnfield. Lizzie Short set a new mark in the mile, running a 5:19.7. The 4x400 relay team of Alexis Capozzi, Eugenia Levitina, Jackie Lytle, and Shannon Conway set a new mark with a time of 4:04.3.
Girls Tennis
Cook paces Raiders
Central Catholic swept Lawrence. In doubles, Kasey Cook and Nina Gosselin and Marissa Ferrante and Sarah Guselli won in straight sets.
