MVC Softball: Methuen's Bergeron named Division 1 MVP

Methuen ace Sarra Bergeron, who boasts a 14-4 record with a 1.16 ERA and 166 strikeouts in 121 innings, was named the Merrimack Valley Conference Division 1 MVP.

Bergeron, Haverhill's Lisa Betances, and Lawrence's Lucy Francisco were repeat All-MVC selections.

Central sophomore Brianna Martin made it this year after her sister, Lindsay, was selected last spring.

Lawrence's Jenn Arrajj was selected Division 2 Coach of the Year.

Kaleigh Kfoury of Central Catholic was selected the first winner of the Rebecca Solomon Sportsmanship Award, which was named after her teammate who passed away last week.
