Wilmarth double champion

Andover's Lauren Wilmarth took home two 18-and-under titles at the New England Clay Court Championships held at Beverly Golf & Tennis Club.

Wilmarth, who will be a senior at Phillips Andover this fall, won in singles by surviving a three-set semifinal struggle against third seed Sarah O'Neil before subduing unseeded Eliza Flynn in straight sets in the finals. She then paired with Lauren Hollender, who lost in the singles semifinals, to take the doubles crown.

Bjorn Merinder of Andover advanced to the finals of the singles and doubles for Boys 16-and-under. Haverhill's Alex Skinner lost in semifinals of boys 18-and-under singles.
