So What He Bought a House? Wiz Khalifa Digs Into Pittsburgh ‘Burbs

- — After a nomadic childhood that saw his military parents move him all over the globe, and after a breakout as one of the freshest rap stars of his generation, Wiz Khalifa may not seem like a candidate for putting down roots.

But that's what's happening with the smoking-hot artist's purchase of a modern gem about 25 miles outside Pittsburgh, where the 24-year-old Wiz -- born Cameron Jibril Thomaz -- attended high school.

According to TMZ, Khalifa is the man behind the $900,000 purchase of a custom-built, modern house in Canonsburg, PA on 2.8 acres in the Cecil Township, PA real estate market. The 5-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom home comes equipped with state-of-the-art features which read like crib notes of a high-end, green construction manual.

Outside, there's an irrigation system, garage floors with triple aggregate floors for draining, cedar and Hardi-panel siding. Inside, there are Brazilian Koa floors, radiant heat, 15-foot ceilings covered in Douglas fir panels. The building specifications are more colorful and detailed than a Wiz Khalifa hit song about the intricacies of partying.

On March 1, Wiz proposed to his girlfriend, the model Amber Rose, so the pair might be looking for a love nest close to Pittsburgh, which has claimed Wiz Khalifa as one of its brightest successes. His hit "Black and Yellow" has been adopted by the Steelers and played for fans during home games.

And even though the world-traveling rapper only gets home once and while, at least now he's got a high-styling crib to host friend and fellow Steelers' fan Snoop Dogg for some high-end NFL Sunday afternoon parties.
