PELHAM — Pelham played its best game of the season last night, but fell short of Goffstown 13-6.

The Pythons scored their lone TD on a 76-yard kickoff return by sophomore Kevin Cheam and also got within the 5-yard line twice without scoring.

"We played a lot better than we had," said Pelham coach Tom Babaian. "Our chances for scoring were brought back by penalties and fumbles."

Among the Pelham fumbles was one at the Goffstown one-yard line in the second quarter.

Playing well on both sides of the ball for the Pythons was Warren Greenhalgh, who had a fumble recovery, as well as Joe Perrone and Tim Schaffer.
