Week 8 Beat Burt winners announced

Eagle-Tribune executive sports editor Bill Burt had a very good weekend, picking 10 winners of the 13 pro football games played last weekend.

It was so good, only 16 of the 323 entries picked more winners. In fact, two winners, Louie Framarini of Litchfield, N.H. and Joshua Rodriguez were almost perfect, picking 12 winners.

Each week a maximum of 10 T-shirts are awarded. The first tiebreaker is the Patriots point total (45). The second tiebreaker is amount of correct selections. And the last tiebreaker, which was needed this week, is random draw.

All of the winners predicted the Patriots would score 28 points or more.

Here are the Week 8 winners:

Luis Dominguez of Lawrence, Fred Halloran of Windham, N.H., Scott Lebowitz of Lawrence, Tom Mackie of Amesbury, Dan Fleming of Methuen, Louie Framarini of Litchfield, N.H., Joshua Rodriguez of Methuen, James Freeman of Salem, N.H., Richard Ricker of Haverhill, Jeff Stearn of Hampstead, N.H. and Robert Burns of Salem, N.H.
