Final Score: Timberlane swimmers shine at State Meet

Awesome Owls

Timberlane, in only its fourth season, placed fifth at the Division 1 swimming state meet. Taylor Hogan earned two thirds, Elise Fredericks was runner-up in the 50 freestyle and Jordan Earley finished sixth in the 100 breaststroke.

Carver takes third

Courtney Carver of Andover took third in the all-around (36.225) and Nicole Stevens of North Andover finished seventh (35.85) at the Massachusetts individual state meet.

Balanced Raiders

Corey Webber (2), Sean Holly, Eric Robbins, Zach Cote and Christian Thompson scored as Central Catholic blanked Andover 6-0.

Kane Mutiny

Michaela Kane (20 saves) was flawless in net and Katherine Capobianco scored in the first period as Haverhill-Pentucket-North Andover blanked Central Catholic 1-0.

Devaney does it

Robbie Devaney made a nifty move for an unassisted game-winning goal with three minutes to play. It was the Phillips star’s second goal in the 3-2 win over Brooks. Devaney had tied it just three minutes earlier.

Freshman guard Kyle Neyman of North Andover drilled a pair of 3-pointers to help Brooks roll to an easy 68-35 win over Thayer.
