cOMEDY NIGHT

Haverhill High is holding a Comedy Night fundraiser and auction on Friday, March 7 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25. Featured performers are well-known comedians Jimmy Dunn, Jim Lauletta, Tim McIntire and Bill Pickles. Tickets are available at the athletic department or by calling 978-374-5732.

BASEBALL

Methuen Youth Baseball tryouts at RippCity in Haverhill. Cal Ripken: Age 9, March 1, 3:30-6:30 p.m.; age 10, March 2, 3:30-6:30 p.m.; 11-12, March 4, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Babe Ruth: 13&16, March 7 5:30-8:30 p.m.; 14&15, March 8, 5:30-8:30 p.m.

The Pelham High baseball team and Chunky’s Cinema will show “The Sandlot” on the big screen on Wednesday, March 19 to help fund the Pythons’ trip to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY. to play Windham on Doubleday Field.

Riverside-Bradford will be holding assessments Saturday, March 1 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Consentino School. Players should register at www.RBbaseball.org.

SOCCER

The Varsity Soccer Academy, directed by Pinkerton boys coach Kerry Boles, will be at the Hood School in Derry. Ages 7-13 is July 14-18 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and grades 9-12 is July 21-25 from 9 a.m.-noon. The all-sport conditioning camp will be August 4-8 from 6-8 p.m. at Pinkerton’s track.

The Raider Basketball School, under the direction of Central Catholic head coach Rick Nault, has expanded and will run three sessions this summer — June 30-July 3, July 7-July 10 and July 28-July 31.
