North Andover's Miller strong off bench in Merrimack win

Melissa Miller, a Central Catholic graduate from North Andover, came off the bench to lead Merrimack with seven rebounds. She also scored six points as the Warriors women’s basketball team won 74-63 over St. Michael’s at home last night in its regular season finale.

Chloe Rothman poured in a game-high 22 points while also adding four assists, three rebounds and two steals

Lexi Sells scored 11 points and Aria Johnson added 10 for Merrimack (12-14 overall, 8-13 NE-10).

St. Michael’s dropped to 4-21 overall and 3-18 in the Northeast-10.

Men upset St. Michael’s

JT Strickland and Gelvis Solano netted 19 points each to lead Merrimack men’s basketball 67-59 over St. Michael’s at home in the regular season finale.

Solano also chipped in six assists, four steals and one block.

Kevin Regan added a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. He also recorded four assists, two steals and one block. The Warriors improved to 9-17 overall and 7-14 in the Northeast-10 conference.

St. Michael’s dropped to 18-7 overall and 13-7 in the conference.

Dennehy on panel

Merrimack hockey coach Mark Dennehy will participate at the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference on Friday and Saturday at the Hynes Convention Center.

Dennehy will join a panel that includes important hockey figures such as Calgary Flames GM Brian Burke, hockey analyst Eric Tulsky, Bruins assistant GM Don Sweeney and NESN’s Dale Arnold.
