Seniors Brenna Blakslee (6 assists), Emily Hickey (14 points) and Amanda Bickford (13 points) sparked Salem to a 48-36 win over Dover.

Super Sophs

Jared Gott exploded for 29 points (his career high had been 13) including six 3-pointers as Salem beat Dover 72-66. Fellow sophomore Matt Vartanian chipped in with 11 points and 15 big boards.

8 isn’t enough

Matt Jameson was on fire with 33 points and eight trifectas but Chelmsford beat Haverhill 86-78 in OT. Jameson forced OT with a 3-pointer with 10 seconds left.

Senior Night romp

Londonderry celebrated Senior Night with eight pins in a 60-16 rout of Salem. Freshman 106-pounder Tyler Byrd had the fastest pin (1:13).

Mr. Zero

Jake Harlow (19 saves) posted his third shutout in four games as Amesbury-Whittier blanked Pentucket-Georgetown 3-0.

Streaking Sachems

Pentucket pounded Saugus, 73-25, to hike its winning streak to 11 games heading into the showdown with unbeaten Masconomet on Monday. Kelsi McNamara had 14 points and Rebecca Torrisi added nine.


Luis Gonzalez led the defense and Oscar Reynoso scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as Greater Lawrence pulled away late to beat Notre Dame of Lawrence 46-35.

Red-hot Reynoso

Scar Reynoso scored a season-high 25 points and Jasmine Severino added 11 points as Greater Lawrence tripped Notre Dame of Lawrence 57-33.

Lawrence wins first

Fabian Tineo and Nelson Valerio went 1-2 in the hurdles and Edward Quezada captured the two-mile to lead Lawrence to its first win, a 48-38 victory over Dracut.
