After finishing the week with six hits and two home runs, Merrimack College sophomore outfielder Brittany Razo has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week.
Razo, who is in the midst of her first season as a starter in the outfield for the Warriors, went 6-for-10 on the week to help Merrimack net three more wins during its second week of action at the NTC Spring Games in Florida.
The highlight of the week — and perhaps even her young career — for Razo came in the form of her two-home run performance against NYIT on March 20, spurring the Warriors to a 5-3, come-from-behind victory over the Bears.
In a rematch of last year’s NE-10 Semifinals, the sixth-ranked Merrimack College men’s lacrosse team will travel to top-ranked and undefeated Le Moyne in Syracuse this afternoon for a Northeast-10 Conference clash of North Region powers.
Merrimack is 4-2 overall and 4-0 in the NE-10 while Le Moyne is 7-0 and 4-0 respectively.
In the Warriors’ last game over the weekend, four goals from freshman Max Allen keyed a 10-7 victory over AIC.
