Coach Dave Fazio laughed with his assistant coaches below Dunn Gymnasium after the win, joking "I guess this makes us the hunters."
The Andover boys coach was referring to Sunday's Eagle-Tribune story on top-seeded Central Catholic being "The Hunted" in both the boys and girls sectionals.
Andover is staring at a likely Saturday quarterfinal with the Raiders, who must first take out No. 16 Charlestown.

The senior gunner came off the bench for 18 points last night, all from behind the arc.
Rose was ecstatic to pitch in.
"It's been a strange season," said Rose, who now has 40 threes on the year. "Either it's been going in or it hasn't. Hopefully, it will continue to keep going in. We're going to need it."
Rose is the type of assassin that can really hurt a team that hasn't steadfastly done its homework.
At times, in both man and zone, Lincoln-Sudbury left Rose alone in his zone outside the arc. And he made the Warriors pay dearly.
Three officials giveth and taketh away
The switch to three officials clearly stung Andover at times in the win over L-S. At other times, the Warriors cashed in.
Brian Miller got stung with his fourth foul 30 seconds into the second half and wasn't seen again until late. D.J. Fazio missed substantial second-half time with four fouls, as did the frosh starter, Sam Dowden.
Of course, Andover made L-S pay for all the extra whistles, stroking 19 of 25 free throws on the night.
North Andover frosh delivers
North Andover freshman Morgan Lumb, who recently joined the starting lineup, is maturing at just the right time.
Lumb knocked down a a pair of 3-pointers in yesterday's 50-48 victory over Gloucester. She also made a nice play early in the game when she collected a rebound in traffic and then scored on a putback.
She also made four steals.
"Honestly," she brings so much to this team," senior Nikki Karalis said about Lumb. "She's such a good player and without her we wouldn't be able to do half the things we do. She's a good passer, shooter, and she's clutch when we need her. She's just all-around a great player."
Lumb is comfortable in her new role. She said he is not afraid of taking a shot or driving in for a layup.
"I was at the beginning of the season, because I didn't know how the girls would take me, but now we all just click together," Lumb said. "They all tell me to drive to the basket. They trust me."
