Phillips Academy standout Anoush Shehadeh broke her own course record, running 17:37 on the Big Blue’s 5K course, to pace a 19-42 victory.

Huge upset

The Phillips Academy girls soccer team handed Choate its first loss of the season, and first goal against, with a 1-0 victory. Katie Kreider of Boxford scored in the second half.

Four for Pesci

Hannah Pesci scored four goals, giving her 18 on the year, and unbeaten Windham girls soccer blanked Pelham 8-0.

Knocks off L-S

Andover knocked off previously unbeaten Lincoln-Sudbury in girls soccer as Veronica Alois and Meredith Van Antwerp scored for the Warriors (7-2-1).

Kimball paces Owls

Timberlane did itself proud placing fifth out of 51 teams at the Thetford (Vt.) Invitational. Liam Kimball placed 25th, Peter Saviano 31st and James Busi 32nd. For the girls, Lauren Oligny placed 24th.

Slips away

Londonderry led favored Alvirne most of the game but gave up two goals in the final six minutes to fall, 2-1. Tim Cranmer scored in the first half for the Lancers.

Qualifying divers

Aryanna Poirier and Chantal Cornu both posted sectional qualifying dives as Methuen won every event against Notre Dame.
