Andover Post 8 defeated North Andover Legion, 6-3, as Reid Bryant picked up the victory with four solid innings of work.
Jack Cox earned the save, with 2.1 innings of clean relief work. Andrew Deloury stayed hot with three hits and drove in two runs. Burton Deady and Cox had two hits apiece for Andover, now 2-2.
Jake Corporale had two of North Andover’s five hits.
Derry Legion defeated Nashua, 4-1.
Andrew Herlihy led the winners with a nine-inning complete game, striking out four in a three-hitter.
Jameson Collins went 3 for 5, doubling in a run for the winners. Grant Wagner added three hits and an RBI.
Derry moves to 5-0 in District B play.
Lawrence Legion Post 15 swept a doubleheader in Gloucester yesterday, both by scores of 5-4.
Pat Silk scattered five hits for the win. Darluigi Gonzalez smacked a two-run homer and Cody Demers went 3 for 3 and stole home for the winning run. Clutch hits by Fabio Cabral-Nunez, David Quezada, Frank Santos and Jose Martinez keyed the victory.
Quezada tossed a five-hitter, striking out nine in the nightcap over five innings as Joan Vargas came in to close it out.
Gonzalez homered again, this time a three-run shot for Lawrence, now 5-1.
Salem fell to Hollis-Brookline, 5-3, in Senior Babe Ruth action. Matt Meisner had two of Salem’s six hits. He and Jake Shepley drove in runs.
