Hornets' Lipani scores 6 TDs

Carl Lipani rushed for 247 yards and found the end zone six times as North Reading cruised past Hamilton-Wenham, 47-27.

North Reading trailed 13-0 late in the first quarter when Lipani put the Hornets on the scoreboard with a 3-yard run.

After scoring a touchdown in the second quarter, Lipani scored three more times during a decisive 20-0 North Reading run, scoring on rushes of 4, 5 and 44.

Charles McCarthy rushed for 136 yards on 14 carries.

The Hornets (7-1) host Ipswich on Friday, in its final home game of the season.
