MIAA adjusts basketball tourney schedule for NAHS junior prom

Because of the junior prom, the MIAA adjusted its North section championship schedule on Saturday to accommodate the North Andover High girls and boys basketball teams which will both play at Tsgonas Arena.

The North Andover girls will start the day off facing the winner of tonight's Reading-Wilmington game at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The North Andover boys will faceoff against Brighton High immediately following at 12:15 p.m.

Normally, those two games would the third and fourth games of the day, but the MIAA moved so players and student fans could attend the prom.

The Central Catholic boys will play Lynn English at 7:45 p.m. in the Div. 1 North final while the Central girls will play tonight's Billerica-Westford winner at 6 p.m.

The Pentucket Regional girls will play Watertown High at 2 p.m. in the Div. 3 matchup. In the Div. 3 boys game, scheduled for 3:45 p.m., Danvers will play Wayland.

Continue checking out our Website as well as tomorrow's Eagle-Tribune for more state tourney updates.
