The Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints are celebrating Mardi Gras-style.
Carnival floats carrying players, coaches and team owner Tom Benson started rolling through downtown New Orleans for a victory parade.
The celebration comes two days after the team earned its first championship in franchise history. Quarterback Drew Brees and other players were throwing beads into the crowds as confetti floated in the air. One float carried an oversized replica of the Super Bowl trophy.
The Mardi Gras-flavored parade includes 12 marching bands and one float each from 10 krewes.

Nevada casinos won almost $6.9 million on this year's Super Bowl as bettors wagered $82.7 million on the NFL title game, gambling regulators said.
The Nevada Gaming Control Board said the win was $179,000 more than sports books won last year, on $1.21 million more in bets.
The underdog New Orleans Saints beat the favored Indianapolis Colts 31-17 in the Sunday game.
Pro baseball: Hernandez giving Mets' Murphy lessons at first
Keith Hernandez has a new task for the New York Mets, moving down from the broadcast booth to give Daniel Murphy lessons at first base.
Murphy started last season in left field and had never played first in the major leagues before May 20, when the Mets made the abrupt shift following Carlos Delgado's hip injury. The 25-year-old made 10 errors in 101 games and didn't appear comfortable around the bag.
Hernandez, an 11-time Gold Glove first baseman, spent two hours Monday and yesterday instructing Murphy and Nick Evans at the Mets' training complex in Port St. Lucie, Fla. General manager Omar Minaya had called Hernandez last week asking for his teaching skills.

Left-hander Mark Hendrickson agreed to a one-year contract with the Orioles that guarantees him $1.4 million after pitching well out of Baltimore's bullpen last season.
The 35-year-old Hendrickson went 6-5 with a 4.37 ERA in 53 games with Baltimore last year. He was most effective in relief, going 4-0 with a 3.44 ERA.

Jacque Jones has returned to the Minnesota Twins, agreeing to a minor league contract.
Jones began his major league career with Minnesota in 1999 before joining the Chicago Cubs in 2006. The outfielder's best season came in 2002, when he hit .300 with 27 homers and 85 RBIs while the Twins advanced to the AL championship series.
Pro basketball: Wizards stranded again after second snowstorm
Eventually the Washington Wizards will make it home.
Last night? No such luck.
The Wizards were told before their game against Charlotte that it was unlikely they'd be able to fly into either Washington-area airports after the game that because of the second major snowstorm to hit that area in five days.
The Wizards have been on a weeklong odyssey that begin in New York. It included having a home game postponed and being stranded in Orlando for five days.
The latest storm won't affect any games. Yesterday was the last game for Washington before the All-Star break, and several players are scheduled to leave from Charlotte today to go home or to vacation spots.

Ellis injured the knee late in the fourth quarter of Monday night's home loss to Dallas. The team says an MRI determined that the injury is mild.
Pro hockey: Edmonton's AHL affiliate to be located in Oklahoma
Pro hockey will return to Oklahoma City starting next season — and at a higher level.
Representatives of Prodigal Hockey LLC and the NHL's Edmonton Oilers said that Oklahoma City will be the home of the Oilers' American Hockey League franchise, which has been dormant since 2005. The Oilers will let their affiliation agreement with an AHL team in Springfield, Mass., expire at the end of this season.
The AHL unanimously approved the Oilers' plan on Monday.

Phoenix has recalled forwards Mikkel Boedker and Jeff Hoggan from its San Antonio affiliate and placed forward Joel Perrault on injured reserve after one game with the Coyotes.
The 20-year-old Boedker has 12 previous appearances with the Coyotes, with a goal and two assists. He appeared in 78 games as a rookie for Phoenix last season.
Hoggan has four appearances for the Coyotes this season. He had eight goals and four assists in 43 games with San Antonio.
Perrault had just been called up from San Antonio when he suffered an upper body injury in Phoenix's 6-1 victory over Edmonton on Monday night.
College football: Kentucky hires Martin as WR coach
Former Tennessee quarterback Tee Martin has been hired by Kentucky as wide receivers coach.
Wildcats coach Joker Phillips announced the hiring yesterday.
Martin led the Volunteers to their last national championship in 1998.
He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1999 and spent six season playing professionally in the NFL, NFL Europe and the CFL.
Names: Andrews' stalker had info on other reporters
Federal prosecutors say the man who stalked ESPN reporter Erin Andrews and shot nude videos of her through a hotel room peephole ran background checks on 16 other female sports reporters and TV personalities.
According to a sentencing memo filed Monday in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles, the Internet background checks Michael Barrett conducted can produce birthdays and home addresses, but it's unclear what information he obtained and how he may have used it.
