Final score: Another 20-0 season for Windham golf

The Eagle-Tribune

---- — 60-0!

Windham golf completed its third straight 20-0 regular season by drubbing Pembroke and Kennett. The Jags shot a 178 led by Connor Greenleaf (33, 3-under par), James McKee (34) and Jack Grubbs (36).

Freshman duo

Andrew Fichera delivered a beautiful cross to a hustling Christian Moreno, who found the back of the net on a gorgeous header. The best news, they are both freshmen. That play highlighted Salem’s 4-2 win over Timberlane.

Veterans Honored

Salem will be honoring all veterans Friday at its 7 p.m. football game against Manchester West. Veterans will be allowed into the game for free and will be recognized for their service on the field prior to the national anthem.

Thrilling finish

Lauren D’Entremont, Mary Lavery, Brittany Burkett and Chrissy Deveaux won the 400 freestyle relay in 4:08.68 to lead North Andover 95-91 over Lowell in a meet that came down to that final event.

Lowman on fire

Andrew Lowman continued his dominance, scoring three goals and adding three assists to lead Windham to a 12-0 win over winless Milford.

Quite a comeback

Sanborn boys soccer stormed back from a 3-0 halftime deficit but beat Pelham 4-3, capping it on a goal with five minutes left.

Morandi Magic

Julia Morandi scored her first varsity goal and Mikayla Guthrie scored on a breakaway with five minutes remaining to lead North Andover girls soccer over Methuen 3-2.

Senior Day

Junior Joe Settineri placed fourth overall to power Salem to a quad-meet sweep on Senior Day. Running well were seniors Alex Fredette, Ryan Buck, Yao Long and Jeremy Tilton.

Making the cut

Andover swimming beat Billerica with divers Sophia Allen and Caitlyn Fitzsimmons making the sectional qualifying cut.

Another shutout

Amanda Fay (7 saves) and Maddie Arndt (1 save) combined for Central Catholic soccer’s eighth shutout in a 6-0 blitzing of Dracut. Alli Wiggins scored twice for the 9-0 Raiders.

Skarbelis trick

Mike Skarbelis notched another hat trick and North Andover cruised past Methuen 6-0.

Friendly foes

Methuen won every event against Dracut. Lauren Arsenault notched her first win of the year, edging out her best friend Sara Ospina in the 100 freestyle while Jenna Albrecht was a quadruple winner.

Warriors take 2

Corrine Gosselin of Lawrence contributed six kills and three digs as Merrimack volleyball swept Assumption. Jessica Otis scored twice as the field hockey team beat Franklin Pierce 4-2.
