---- — MELROSE — Eric Kerr won the title at 113 and grabbed his 100th career win in the process to highlight Lynnfield-North Reading’s championship at the 11-team Division 3 North sectional. The top North Reading High athlete was Joe Morse, who took third at 106.
Other champions for the co-op team were C.J. Finn at 170 and 220-pounder Tom Arseneault.
“It’s the ninth year of the co-op,” said Lynnfield-North Reading head coach Craig Stone. “Neither school had won a title separately. It’s been a long road for both programs. I’m pleased we were able to turn things around for both schools.”
Lynnfield-North Reading finished with 238 points, comfortably ahead of runner-up Wakefield (190 1/2) with Pentucket a solid third at 157 1/2.
Pentucket was paced by champions Josh Wesolowski (132), a rising sophomore, and junior stalwart Sean Clohisy (195). Senior star Tom Funk settled for second at 120 and Mike McCarron was second at 170.
For Georgetown, Derek Chamberlin was runner-up at 195.

Brooks’ New England Champ
Brooks junior Andrew Konovalchik of North Andover won the 160-pound division at the 43-team Prep New Englands. Konovalchik, who was runner-up last year and was fifth as a freshman, went 4-0 on the day with two pins, a major decision and a 15-9 win in the finals over of Dan Toubman of Nobles.
“He was very dominant,” said Brooks coach Alex Konovalchik, Andrew’s father. “It was an outstanding performance with a couple nice pins.”
Another North Andoverite for Brooks, 182-pounder Jake Gottfried, placed sixth.
