Carver, Methuen duo shine

NORTHBORO — Andover’s Courtney Carver placed third in the vault and eighth in the all-around at the State Individual Girls Gymnastics Championships yesterday at Algonquin Regional.

Andover’s Jessie Livingston and North Andover’s Nicole Stevens tied for eighth in the vault.

The meet was broken down into gymnasts who competed in the all-around (like the above mentioned athletes) and those who specialized in events.

Among the group of specialists, two boys competing with the girls turned in big efforts.

Methuen’s Zach Smith and Cam Cyr went 1-2 in the vault. Andover’s Emily Lowenstein placed fourth.
