Odds and ends: Chip Dunn was let go after last season. He had a 210-235 record in 23 years with the Hillies. New coach Chip Forrest, who was hired in February, was fired in early March. AD Tom O'Brien will coach the team this spring. .. Complete Eagle-Tribune records go back through the 1987 season and in that span last year was Haverhill's fewest wins in a season. ... Pitcher Nelson Rodriguez and JV coach Nelson Rodriguez are not related ... Lawrence is still attempting to get clearance for Jose Abreu to join the team. Assistants: Rob Aziz (assistant), Rob Prindle (assistant); Kevin DeMaria (JV); Chris Cyr (freshmen)
Coach Eric Cyr (1st year, 10th year overall: 88-97): "We're a talented group, a little raw, but we just have to sharpen up the edges. The sophomore Veras is going to surprise some people.
