Boudreau sharp in BC womens win

CHESTNUT HILL — Freshman Nicole Boudreau was all over the floor with 15 points, four assists, four steals and just two turnovers in 36 minutes, helping Boston College to its third straight win, 64-59, over UNH last night at Conte Forum.

Andover’s Boudreau hit 4 of 8 from the field, including 3 of 7 3-point attempts. She also went 4-for-4 from the line.

Junior Katie Zenevitch, the Central Catholic product from Methuen, fought off some foul trouble to knock home a double-double, tallying 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Now 3-1, the BC women will spend the long holiday weekend in Seattle, competing in the Seattle University Tournament. They play Sacred Heart in the opener.

Merrimack men

fall to Bentley

Mike Clifford led all scorers with 24 points and 13 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough as Bentley University held off the Merrimack College men, 62-56.

Freshman Gelvis Solano was the only other Warrior in double figures with 10 points as Merrimack shot just 36.9 percent from the field, despite Clifford’s sparkling 11 for 17.

Bentley moved to 3-2 and 1-1 in the NE-10, while Merrimack is 0-2 in the league and 2-3 overall.
