Central's Carey, Hillies' Cokely receive MVC honors

Holy Cross recruit Maggie Carey, a senior defender who led Central Catholic to a 15-1-1 record, was named the Merrimack Valley Division 1 girls soccer MVP.

Junior forward Kelleigh Cokely, who scored 11 goals to power Haverhill to its first postseason berth since 2009, was named the Division 2 MVP.

Their coaches, Central’s Casey Grange and Haverhill’s Fred Tarbox, were named the MVC Division 1 and 2 Coaches of the year, respectively.
