Final score

Brosnan nets five goals

Justin Brosnan poured in five goals and six other Golden Warriors scored as Andover boys lacrosse won 11-5 over Central Catholic.

Alex Parent had five goals for Central while Thomas Jenoski added one assist and collected nine groundballs.

Gochakowski’s giant effort

Mike Gochakowski, who netted 57 goals last spring, scored six goals in Georgetown boy lacrosse’s first game this year, a 13-4 victory over Swampscott.

NA’s relentless duo

Top returning North Andover goal scorers Nick Pino and Dante Querci got their seasons started off on the right foot.

Pino, who led the Scarlet Knights with 65 goals last year, netted seven goals and Querci, who had 34 goals in ‘12, netted five goals as North Andover won 14-5 over Lowell in boys lacrosse.

Reserve to starter

David Kitchen wasn’t a regular on the varsity tennis team last year, playing only one singles match.

But the Central Catholic senior played at No. 2 singles yesterday and won 6-3, 6-0 in the decisive match of the day to lead the Raiders 3-2 over Lawrence.
