WHY DID YOU ATTEND WICHITA STATE?: I started off as an Aerospace Engineering major, and chose to attend Wichita State for that program. After I decided to change my major I stayed because of everything else the University had to offer.
WHAT DID YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE THERE?: My professors were great. They were very passionate and that showed in their classes. I had many professors that were willing to give extra help and make sure that everyone really understood what we were learning. I was on the crew team and loved the experience. It was a good way to get involved on campus. We got to travel a lot in both the fall and spring to many different places. When I first imagined the university I thought that it was going to be in the middle of nowhere. I was pleasantly surprised to find out how much was really going on in Wichita. It was a great city with lots of opportunities.
DID YOU ATTEND BASKETBALL GAMES?: I did occasionally attend games. For part of my time in Wichita I worked as a parking attendant during basketball games. After the game started we were given tickets to sit in the student section and see the game.
A FAVORITE HOOP-RELATED MEMORY AT WICHITA STATE: It was the game that got the Shockers into the Sweet 16 in 2006. I was on the crew team and over spring break we would go to Louisiana for spring training. On our way, the Shockers were playing Tennessee in the second round; so we stopped at Northwestern State University to watch the game in their student center. It was a very spirited group and when we won, everyone was shouting and jumping around. This was the game that got them into the Sweet 16.
