Jaylin Deveau blasted a three-run homer over the fence in left field in the first, and Ralph Francesconi knocked a solo homer out to center in the third to lead Whittier to a 7-1 drubbing of Northeast.
Methuen wins tight one
Ashley Horan scored five goals, added two draw controls and caused a turnover to lead Methuen 15-13 over Cambridge Rindge & Latin in girls lacrosse.

Destiny Jordan went 3 for 3, scored three runs and drove in three runs as Whittier softball tripped Minuteman 15-2. Cassey Glode and Josie Sanchez also drove in three runs.

Deanna Savary’s remarkable 13 save effort helped lift Central Catholic girls lacrosse 7-3 over Billerica.
