Despite good pitching, NH falls to Trenton

---- — Austin Bibens-Dirkx threw 7.0 strong innings, giving up just two runs, one earned, on six hits and two walks while striking out three but the Fisher Cats lost 5-1 to Trenton yesterday.

The Fisher Cats (3-3) banged out seven hits. Brad Glenn and John Tolisano both stroked two hits and Tolisano knocked in his team’s lone run, which crossed the plate in the bottom of the second.

New Hampshire was 1 for 7 with runners in scoring position and left eight runners on base.

Trenton (3-2) took a 2-0 lead in the top of the second and never relinquished it.
