As more and more of the paper trail leaves that Albany pharmaceutical company, you get the feeling that Rodney Harrison now might have wished he gave a bit more serious thought to retirement.
The latest Albany Times Union report says Harrison first inquired about HGH (human growth hormone) back in January of 2004, on the road to the Pats' second Super Bowl title.
When he was hit with the four-game suspension prior to this season, Harrison intimated that he took the human growth hormone to help him recover from his most recent barrage of injuries. He said nothing of the 2003 or 2004 seasons, other than the fact that he didn't use the HGH to gain an advantage on the field.

Both Tedy Bruschi and LaDainian Tomlinson had plenty to say after the Pats walloped San Diego on Sunday.
First from Bruschi: "This is one of the most satisfying victories of my career. This victory was for all Patriots past and present. We trust our preparation. We trust what we do. We trust the players in this room. He's our head coach. We stand behind him. I think all of you should back off."
And then from LT: "The Patriots may be better than they ever have been. With Randy (Moss), Wes (Welker), Donte' (Stallworth). On defense, they got Adalius (Thomas) and in a couple weeks they get Rodney (Harrison) back. They may be better than they've been before."

If you need to panic about something, watch safety Eugene Wilson, who didn't practice yesterday due to an ankle injury.
Wilson has been banged up the last couple seasons, and with Harrison down for at least two more games, you're looking at a Brandon Meriweather-James Sanders safety combo.
As good as Meriweather has looked, he's still a rookie. And Sanders is a journeyman at best.
