The Methuen volleyball team, which has played 15 road games, won for the second time in Chelmsford, 3-0. Alicia Miller had a huge game for the Rangers (12-5) with 17 kills, 7 blocks and 16 service points that included 6 aces.
Sanborn’s field hockey team bowed out of the Division 3 tournament with a first-round loss to Littleton, 2-0, despite 22 saves by Samantha Webster.
Title for Prep
St. John’s Prep’s golf team defeated Catholic Memorial 220-240, to clinch the Catholic Conference title. Steven Dilisio led the Eagles with a one-under-par 34. North Andover’s Max Burt shot a 37. The team ends the regular season at 16-2 and will play for the State Division I championship Monday at Black Swan Country Club in Georgetown.

Katyann Grochmal took care of all the scoring for Pinkerton girls soccer yesterday, netting two goals and leading her team to a 2-0 win over Dover.
Led by a career day from freshman Nicole Bradley, who had a hat trick, and another dominant display from the defense, the No. 9 Merrimack College field hockey team cruised to a 4-0 shutout of St. Michael’s.
Candace Waldie of North Andover scored the first goal for the Warriors (11-4, 7-1 in NE-10).
Brooks, coming off a tough 1-0 loss to Worcester Academy, blanked Lawrence Academy 4-0 in girls soccer. Kate Donovan scored twice for the Green and White.

Pentucket’s soccer team, coming off a loss and a tie, got back on track with a 4-0 win over Newburyport. Kyle Sedler scored twice for the Sachems (10-3-3) and Cody Sedler had six saves.

Liza Brackbill scored twice as the Pentucket field hockey team edged North Reading 3-2 for its third win of the season.
