LYNN — The South rose again last night at the Agganis basketball games and, for the girls, Andover’s Devon Caveney was a big reason why.
Caveney scored 10 points and was the South’s team MVP as her squad pulled away at the finish for a 51-48 victory over the North. Julia Davis of Ipswich led the North with 12 points while Pentucket’s Alex Moore scored nine and Sachem teammate Coley Viselli added six.
In the boys game, the South also prevailed over the North, 87-72. North Andover’s Isaiah Nelsen and Chris Bardwell scored six points apiece for the North, which was coached by North Andover outgoing coach Mike McVeigh.
