CAL Softball: Ferrazzani makes Hornets team to beat

---- — OUTLOOK: Everyone will be chasing North Reading, not only in the Cape Ann League but likely from throughout Eastern Mass. The Hornets return everyone from last year’s 18-3 squad and have a superb pitcher in Terri Ferrazzani.

North Reading will be the team to beat in the CAL Division 1. In Division 2, Amesbury is the favorite, although defending champion Rockport and possibly Georgetown could contend.

Georgetown

Coach David Tullgren (2nd year, 4-15): “We’re a much stronger team all the way around. The infield got stronger and we’ll score more runs. We have three goals — improve upon last year, qualify for the tournament and go as far as we can.”
