MANCHESTER — Brad Glenn homered in the 8th, and Gabe Jacobo circled the bases as well on a line drive that got by the center fielder to give the Fisher Cats a stunning 4-3 comeback win last night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
Glenn opened the 8th with the team trailing 3-2, and hit a one strike pitch off the Samuel Adams Bar & Grill to knot the score at three. After the next two were retired, Jacobo hit a sinking liner to center for a single that was misplayed and skipped away from Brian Goodwin, and the ball rolled to the wall. It was picked up by right fielder Steven Souza, who subsequently short-hopped his throw to the cut-off man, allowing Jacobo to score the go-ahead and winning run.
Adam Loewen bombed a home run to right in the 3rd inning to give the Fisher Cats their first run.
