Hockey Night in Boston underway

Hockey Night in Boston is now in full swing. The 36th annual major summer showcase started Sunday and will go through this Saturday at the Valley Forum in Haverhill.

There are 18 teams representing players from 28 different states. There is no admission charge for the first round, but there will be a charge for the playoffs and All-Star game on Friday and Saturday.

The North Shore team has several locals on the team, led by North Andover native Jack Hyman of Proctor Acadmey. Last year at Proctor, he sniped 21 goals and had 43 points.

The North Shore squad also has three local defensmen — Joe Kuta, an Andover native who plays for Phillips Academy, Georgetown native John Ryan who plays for St. Johns Prep, and Erik Morrison of North Reading.
