Junior Sam Bennett gave Andover a much-needed mound sparkler, slaying Nashua North on three hits with no walks as the Warriors topped the Titans, 7-0. Cam Farnham was huge in the leadoff spot with three hits, including a triple, and two runs scored.

Hornets still perfect

R.J.Warnock and Ryan Sanborn each had RBI triples in North Reading’s 14-3 baseball win over Pentucket. Warnock, who pitched a complete game, had three hits and both Sanborn and Ryan McAuliffe drove in three runs on the day.

Big Blue thriller

Nekele McCall broke a 9-9 tie with one second on the clock — her fourth goal of the day — to lift the Phillips girls lacrosse team over Groton, 10-9.

Battle of unbeatens

In a battle of unbeatens in girls lacrosse, North Andover fell just short of Westford Academy, 9-8, despite four goals from Leah Chittick.

Moore great stuff

Jeff Moore moved 3-0 on the year with a complete-game four-hitter, lifting Georgetown past Lynnfield, 3-1. Tom Pingree had a hit and drove in a pair for the 5-0 Royals.


Dominic Corsetto and Jake Lisauskas each had three goals apiece, helping lift Pinkerton to an 11-7 lacrosse win over Exeter. Kenny Sturgess made five saves to protect the victory for the 5-1 Astros.
