Final Score

Sanchez scores walkoff

With the game tied in the bottom of the seventh, Yonelvis Sanchez stepped to the plate with runners at second third and smoked a ball to the outfield for a single to score the winning run and give Greater Lawrence a 3-2 walkoff victory over Whittier.

Nice Day for a walkoff

Down 8-7, North Reading scratched together just enough offense to avoid the Amesbury High upset bit. The Hornets loaded the bases in the bottom of the seventh, then tied it on a wild pitch, scoring the game-winner on a bases-loaded, walk-off walk to Thomas Day.

Towler terrific

With Salem reeling and trailing Dover, 3-1, Rachel Towler hit the mound in the third and took charge, shutting down the Green Wave the rest of the way, striking out seven and giving her teammates a shot to rally. And rally the Blue Devils did, coming back to win, 5-3, to stay perfect at 8-0. Brittany Wallace’s two-run single highlighted Salem’s three-run third.
