Haverhill’s boys outscored Chelmsford 25-2 in the high jump, long jump and triple jump on their way to an 88-57 victory over Chelmsford. Gage Alicea won the high jump and was second in the triple jump and Bryam Discua was second in the long jump in addition to winning the 100 and 400.
Chris Gerossie fired a complete-game four-hitter and Pinkerton blanked North 1-0. John Polichetti drove in Gerossie for the game’s only run in the second.
Karoline Leavitt (4 for 4) and Krista Maloney both had home runs and combined for seven RBIs as Central Catholic smacked Chelmsford 12-8. Caleigh Finneral added a bases-loaded double for the Raiders (10-4).
Kat in charge
Kat LeFebre was 4 for 4 with four RBIs to highlight Methuen’s 13-1 victory over Greater Lawrence.
Alex Brickman’s bomb to right-center scored Tim Awiszus with the winning run in the bottom of the ninth as Andover beat Londonderry 5-4. Reid Bryant tossed five innings of no-hit relief and Sam Bennett got the win with a 1-2-3 ninth.
Timberlane sophomore Kate Hoadley gave up just four hits and no walks while striking out six as the Owls (11-3) won a pitching duel against Concord, 1-0. Amy Freeman led off with a triple for the Owls and scored on a Christina Nye sacrifice fly for the only run.
Pelham’s Gamble a hit
Chris Gamble notched two hits and drove in two runs to lead Pelham to a 7-5 win over Sanborn.
Poirier takes over
Aryanna Poirier erupted for seven goals to power Methuen to a 15-14 win over Haverhill. Ashley Horan had four goals. Alex Comeau (19 saves) led Haverhill.
Andover’s softball team ripped eight doubles in a 15-2 rout of rival North Andover. Erin Nastari and Paige Hartnett both had two doubles and Amy Bordogna had a double among her four hits.
